How it works

Choose your run

Set your squad size, pick a club pool — the 72 marquee names or all 176 — and a format. Classic hides every fee until the final whistle; Moneyball shows the prices and hands you a budget to beat.

Pick a formation

Locked for the whole season, and chosen before you know who you'll get. That's the gamble.

Roll, then sign

The reel spins up a club. Take one of its three best seasons, then drop a player onto a position he can fill. Each club comes round once — five rerolls to skip the ones you don't fancy.

Place them well

Plenty of players cover more than one position. Drag them between the spots they're eligible for to shape your side. Stats only — there's no overall rating to hide behind.

Play the season

Your squad plays out a full 38-game league. Finish top to win it; go the whole way unbeaten to join the Invincibles.

What the numbers mean

G/90
Goals per match. Pure finishing output.
A/90
Assists per match — the final pass before a goal.
xG
Expected goals. The quality of the chances they get — what an average player would score from those shots. Strips out luck and finishing.
xA
Expected assists. The quality of chances they create for teammates, whether or not those got finished.
DA
Defensive actions — tackles + interceptions per match. How often he actively wins the ball back. Pure volume: great positional defenders read low because they rarely need to dive in.
DEF
Defensive rating, out of 2. Ball-winning (DA) and clean-sheet solidity, up to 1 point each. The active ball-winner banks his DA half even on a leaky side; the quiet anchor banks his on solidity — so it rewards good defenders without burying them for a team that concedes.
CO
Creative output. Involvement in attacking moves that lead to a shot, beyond the final pass — the deep playmakers, metronomes and overlapping full-backs who make the team tick.
GK
Keepers show Save%, Clean-sheet % and goals conceded per match instead.
